Today, exactly one year ago, I uploaded my very first blogpost and decided to talk to strangers on the streets.
A year in which a lot has changed. In my personal life as well as on the blog. New categories, new themes, a new design, even a new domain. The blog has grown, has gained more and more followers. At this point, I would like to thank all those people who always read, comment and like my blog. That’s what keeps me going guys!!
I chose to write this blog one year ago, because I wanted my texts, which I put on papers every day, to be read by someone and not always get lost in some folders on the desktop.
I quickly knew what I wanted to write about, even if I was facing a great challenge with that.
The reason I write the blog is because I want to give people a place where they can tell their story. Everyone has a story. A very individual one, which probably will not be the same a second time.
In a year I have certainly chattered 300 people and yes now you must think: Talking to 300 people and only finding about 15 stories to write about? Yes you can believe me sometimes that makes me desperate to.
In the last year I met people whose most interesting experience was shopping in the supermarket yesterday, people who rejected me, declared me crazy or were even aggressive. I mean who was I thinking I could ask them about their private life? There were people who did not know how to deal with it and people about I really did not want to write about simply because they represent opinions and positions I do not want to support on my blog.
Yes, in this one year I’ve heard a lot. Stories that have touched me, stories I could hardly believe and stories for which I am totally grateful. Thankful because they let me appreciate the little things in life and give me a look for the essential. Thankful, because someone strange gave me his trust to publish a text about them. Grateful for every day someone tells me what I’m doing is right.
I am very grateful for the last year, personally as well as regarding the blog. I have experienced a lot, have met new people and made experiences. And I am already looking forward to the coming years. I hope you guys keep in touch with me and my blog. New stuff is about to come soon!
